Birthday Celebration for the group of five

2008
We all felt that we are such a good bunch to turn 50s together.  So we have decided to celebrate together.  As we were all still working so we did not travel far for our celebration. We chose a local chinese restaurant in Somerville, we  did take a photo with Sue's phone, but where was it? . It was a very cold and rainy afternoon. It was a good start for our little niche group but not the weather.

2009
We had lunch at Club Murdoch, even closer and we did not need to worry about rain and transport. It appeared that we all showed a bit of pinkish color on our cheeks, whether it was alcohol or the heating facility was too good. I bet you can guess !

2010

2011
At Cafe 58 to celebrate this group of baby boomers. Well thought by Debbie to choose a cafe with this name.

2012
We had our lunch at Delicious Fingers, Melville. We seemed to have the celebration earlier as the date stamp was June, most likely it was because someone was travelling in July. You could guess who was that someone.

In this year, Debbie has become a first time grandma.
Rosita lost her hubby Chris.

2013

Finally, Debbie gave me the name of this place - Kava Cafe at Bristol Ave Bicton. Thanks Deb.

Debbie retired from the Library.

2014
We had lunch at Kardinya Tavern, again easy to get there from Murdoch.
Debbie has become grandma again.

2015
We also  had our celebration at Kardinya Tavern again. Anne was working at Notre Dame and  could not make it to the lunch??

2016
We changed our cuisine to Japanese and had our lunch at Ohnamiya in Booragoon. From memory, it was a very nice and cheap meal.
Jane has become a first time grandma.

2017
With all of your good memory except me, we confirmed that our lunch was held at Sensations, Ardross. I only recalled being in a very busy but small restaurant. It took a bit of effort to locate a carpark as well.

2018
This year we all turned 60, some turned earlier than the others but that did not matter. fFr those who worked we took half of day off to celebrate our BIGGER birthday at the Bistro Guillaume - French cuisine. Sue and I had enjoyed a massage before joining the others for lunch. Apparently it was a good sunny day too.

We were born in the year of Dog, so I gave decided to give each of us a zodiac animal to keep which you could only purchase them during the Chinese New Year, disregard what animal they are, they are all red in color.  I will get everyone another one when the next round comes, guess what age will we be?

Anne retired in October from Notre Dame.

2019
We dined in at Little Grove, Bicton. It was again a very cold, windy and rainy day. Anne showed her forgetfulness or carelessness at this lunch in Sensations . Was that a sign of ageing?

Sue had a fungus incident in one of her eyes  with lots of treatments and luckily chemical and mechanical medical technology fixed that up.

2020
Anne sent her apologies for not able to make it to the lunch due to the unprecedented Covid 19 pandemic as she did not want to get close to any crowds just in case for the sake of Ken's health. It was a real lovely sunny day. Lunch was at Gucce Pizzeria in Ardross.

We unanimously decided Debbie continued to be the honorary social convener. Thanks Debbie for all of her work and many more to come of course.
Jane becomes two times grandma in the same year. Three grandkids under her belt, is Debbie's family going to tie this one?
Rosita left Murdoch on 1st May due to a number of reasons, firstly to be able to accompany Marina to complete her ATAR examination; secondly her back pain was getting worse, she could not sit or stand for a long time; thirdly, I had enough.

2021
Rosita felt that it would be nice to have lunch at the King's Park to look at the beautiful wildflowers. 2021 had a record breaking amount of rainfall and the flowers everywhere are blooming. Lunch was at the Botanical Cafe and we had a stroll along afterwards.

2022
Anne invited all to her home and we brought along a dish to share. Jane couldn't make it
